Congratulations to the Central Alabama Artists Guild on their fabulous show held at Patton Creek this past weekend. There were an abundance of wonderful works from painting to drawing to sculpture to lapidary to textile arts (and more!) Hoover Arts Alliance board member Christi Bunn was privileged to be one of the judges, along with Tom Dameron. Our Hoover Arts Alliance award recipient was Krel Buckalew pictured above (center) with HAA President Carolyn Kolar (left) and board member Christi Bunn (right) for his work “Moss Rock Preserve Waterfall.” Krel is painting many of Alabama’s beautiful waterfalls.
Some of the other wonderful artists who were award winners are pictured below. Rick Plasters won Best in Show for his portrait of a lioness.
